Most sunscreen you buy on the high street is 'water resistant' - means splash your face a few times and it stops working (read the back of the bottle 'if swimming reapply every twenty minutes'). If you're in the water you've already doubled your exposure with the reflection - so a sunscreen that's totally waterproof (8hrs plus for Aloe Gator) is the only option.

All Aloe Gator products are free from some of the nastys found in other sunscreen, are very waterproof and help stop you getting burnt, wrinkled and cancerous.

Used this for 3 weeks in OZ having gone as a Pasty white Brit to 30degree Sun, never burnt! Got a healthy looking Tan instead. Was only in the water for 2hours at a time, so cannot comment on the 8hrs but worked for me. Used about 1 Tube per week. Worth the money for peace of mind, not getting burnt!

Actually a review for the gel, not lotion (MS sent the wrong item but no bother) and it was great. Felt quite greasy when applying but soon absorbed and worked a treat. Have tried loads of others that just washed off but this lasted for ages and I came out with a tan, not a red face and dry, tight skin. Great stuff (gel). Not tried the lotion. Now happy to stay out all day and not worry about being burned.

Used the SPF40 in the tropics and found it brilliant. Didn't burn, it was non-slippy and didn't get in my eyes. Using the SPF15 in home waters as its the only suntan lotion that doesn't run into my eyes!
