So far I have only this once and there were not that many midges about. Having said that, I didn't get a single bite. Plus it's safe to use on the kids because it doesn't contain DEET.

Used it while camping amid thick clouds of midges, so dense they darkened the sky, and it did the trick; and all without that "I am melting..." feeling you get with DEET products.
