These straps use the FCS 'D-Ring' system, much less likely to come undone under load compared to a normal clamp.

Once the 'D - lock' mechanism is mastered they are very effective. Never failed me on my trips to Cornwall surfing. Held 1 surfboard and a bodyboard very securley, would hold many more I imagine

D ring seems secureeven though the strap feels soft and slippery. I tie off as well!
