Overview

The Concept

The Bearman Pro is English champion Adam 'Bearman' Griffiths performance all round longboard. When the waves get bigger than shoulder high Bearman will be ripping it up on his pro model. With the perfect balance of paddle power nose riding and manoeuvrability all in mind this thing is the perfect all round longboard for taking your skills to the next level. Great control off the tail with plenty of hold when your walking it up to the nose. This board will get you on to all the waves with ease and get you ripping like Bearman.

The tech stuff and why we did it

Bearman is a powerhouse who loves to throw his longboard about, so it was important that his pro model was as versatile as possible. The tail is pulled into a baby squash tail to give the balance of hold and release when he does a turn. The bottom shape of the tail has a double running right through it which graduates into a vee just in front of the fins - this gives the tail the extra lift needed to keep it light and easy to throw into turns but the subtle vee also helps to keep the tail in the wave when walking to the nose. From the wide point the vee flattens out and runs into a deep nose concave with a high rail line, this is to ensure that when your on the nose you are cruising through sections instead of nursing it until you lose control. The volume in the nose is a touch higher than normal to keep stability at a maximum. The deck is fairly flat which is brought down with a shortboard feel to the rail. The rail line gets higher from nose to tail to ensure you don't dig rail the higher you stand up the board, which really helps add to the versatility of the performance all rounder. The tail rocker is high to enable pivot and hold when surfing off the back foot, with a high but straighter nose rocker to get the best balance between keeping drive and control when on the nose and manoeuvrability and control when hitting the lip or surfing in the pocket.

Fins

The Bearman Pro is supplied with two FCS side bite fins.

Dimensions & Fin set-up:

The two side bites are designed to be used with a centre fin, if you don't have a fin we have a wide selection of longboard fins which suit a variety of riding styles on the longboard fin page.

Construction:

Standard Poly construction, 2 layers of 4 oz cloth on the deck and the bottom.
