Grain Surfboards was created by a group of friends with a similar vision: to face up to our responsibility for the environmental impacts of surfing but still to surf a great board. What surprised us was that building our own boards heightened our surfing experience in every way. Every piece of wood has a purpose and every piece adds to the experience, whether it's the amazing book-matched grain patterns, or the fact that the rails were carefully shaped with traditional hand tools.
