Founded in 1994 by friends Steve Lake and Dennis Telfer Sector 9 was born in a backyard in La jolla, California.
The desire to create a carving style skateboard that rode more like a surf or snowboard led to the revival of longboarding and has had a
big impact on the skate scene as a whole.
