Description
This non-yellowing UV-cure resin forms an extrememly tough coating on most any substrate, including expanded polystyrene (EPS or Styrofoam).
It gels very rapidly, (5 seconds)in strong sunlight and completely cures in about a minute.
When coating delicate, low density EPS foam, beware of the exothermic heat generated by the curing reaction.
Expose to strong sunlight (or UV source) for only 10 seconds at a time.
Once you have established a protective coating of one or two coats, you may add additional layers of any resin, including polyester or vinyl ester - all are compatible.
Microbaloons are mixed into the resin during the preparation process, these are not provided with the resin.
Resin needs to be exposed to direct sunlight within 30 seconds of application to ensure product sets hard.
