DescriptionUnder the Sun is a documentary film made by the support of Ubiquity Records. Shot in Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, Australia, it explores the roots of surfing commercialism. Often dark and subversive, this brilliant super 16mm film strikes a compelling story through stunning surfing and never-before-seen 70's footage. Under the Sun is the product of two years of living in a van travelling, shooting, editing and animating. From getting all of my 16mm camera equipment ripped-off twice to grinding 80 hours a week in front of the computer, this film has been a lesson in patience. The old adage "good things come to those who wait," has certainly proven true as two years after its completion I'm final able to share this labor of love with you. AWe have tested the DVD on a UK DVD player and it plays fine, if the Australian DVD player can play other UK DVD's it should work fine.
