A chunky version of the Afterburner with a little less rocker throughout. The extra thickness and width allows for a big increase in volume that allows the board to paddle fast and still be a stable platform in waves that are not very powerful. A single-to-double-concave bottom that is more sculpted than in the Afterburner to counteract the extra thickness and provide better tracking on the face of the wave.
The main features of this small-wave board that allow it to provide plenty of low-speed glide as well high-speed hold are: the extra width and thickness coupled with the blended rails and exaggerated single to double concave bottom contour. The result is a fish that performs beautifully on a much wider range of waves than you would expect.
