Xcel Mens 3mm Infiniti Drylock (2012 Black) Wetsuit

The Infiniti Drylock 3mm wetsuit is the flagship of the Xcel range, two times winner of the ‘Wetsuit of the Year’ award and a staff favourite here at MSW.

The wetsuit takes the solid foundations of the rest of the Infiniti range and adds a number of features aimed specifically at keeping you dry. Contrary to rumour a wetsuit doesn’t keep you warm by trapping water inside it, air is a MUCH better insulator.

The Drylock is designed with this in mind, with the cuff specially shaped to grip the wrist stopping cold water entry. The fully waterproof zip also stops even the smallest amount of cold water entering through the front zip system. The Drylock wetsuits work hard to keep water out, keeping you warm. Additionally the suit has a special layer of neoprene on the chest and back panels that sandwiches pockets of air, creating a lighter, warmer body to the suit.

On the outside the suit has a special fabric unique to the Drylock range that’s designed to shed water, stopping water absorption and cutting down further on wind chill. The wetsuits front zip, means both high performance stretch in the upper body AND even less water entry around the neck. Having kept water out the wetsuit then adds warmth with a full length polypro lining. This stretches right down to the knee and features a warm weave unique to the Drylock suits in the range.

In terms of performance you get exactly as you’d expect from a top of the range wetsuit, the 100% super stretch neoprene and engineered cut mean the suit is extremely stretchy and flexible. This is enhanced by the chest zip entry that removes the zip from the back panel freeing the shoulders to move more freely when paddling.
