The 4mm hooded suit is for people who feel the chill but do not want any compromise on flexibility and performance in their Winter suit. We have never worn a more water-tight suit, combine a hood, X-Zip 2 neck system and a new Tatex arm cuff and you get the driest suit you can buy. The Drylock range have always been first to bring innovative features to the market, what this means for us as surfers is: the highest performance suit with less flushing than ever. QDF (Quick Dry Fiber) is the next evolution of Xcel's WRF technology introduced last year. It is a layer of hydro-phobic fibres woven into the external lining of the wetsuit, basically water runs right off the suit which means less weight, quicker drying times and less of the wind-chill effect making you warmer for longer - the video shows last seasons WRF layer, whilst many of the features are the same the outer fibre layer has changed on the 2012 suits. The Drylock range also incorporates last seasons innovative Airprene; two layers of regular neoprene sandwiching a perforated layer which traps air in pockets inside the suit. The thinking is, as well as being lighter, air is a better heat insulator than neoprene rubber, so the trapped air makes for a warmer, lighter suit. Perfect for taking your surfing a step further in the coldest season. Airprene and QDF are only available in the Drylock suits, Xcels highest performance Winter suit yet. Ultrastretch Superlite neoprene is used throughout the rest of the suit and panels are kept to a minimum so there's nothing holding you back. Manufacturing with Bamboo makes for a greener suit which doesn't compromise on flexibility, the new neck to knee lining is made of Bamboo charcoal infused yarns and recycled polyester which stretch with your body. Sizing A wetsuit only works if it fits well. We strongly suggest you check out the full size chart here carefully and if you have any doubts give our wetsuit experts a call on 01548 854660.Features
