Magicseaweed Description

The Infiniti X-zip 2 range is Xcels original front zip wetsuit, honed over years of development into a flexible, warm performance winter wetsuit with tried and tested features.

Uncompromising quality and great value makes this wetsuit a favourite amongst the staff at magicseaweed, if you've currently got a wetsuit from a couple of seasons ago that needs replacing you're likely to be surprised by the improvements in flexibility and warmth you'll get from an Xcel Infiniti wetsuit.

The X-zip 2 system uses the same crossover neck entry system with one side sealed as the top of the range Xcel wetsuits, so there's minimal chance for water to get in through the neck.

ThermoCarbon is Xcel's name for the fluffy polypro lining which you'll find on the Infiniti wetsuits, this lining traps air and helps wick water away from the skin giving you an extra insulating layer between the neoprene and your skin.

UltraStretch neoprene is used in every panel of the wetsuit, it's stretchier than ever and will make a huge difference in performance if you've been used to older or more budget orientated wetsuits in the past, the ergonomic cut of the panels helps reduce the amount of seam and ensure the UltraStretch material can do it's job and give you the biggest range of movement possible.

Choosing the right thickness for you

This is a 5/4/3 wetsuit, it has 5mm panels in the torso and legs and 4mm panels in the arms and 3mm panels under the arms, this ensures you get the warmth in the core of the body and the flexibility to paddle in the arms.

The best thickness of wetsuit for you depends mostly on where and what time of year you will be surfing, 5mm is the most popular thickness for year round surfing in the UK, with the right accessories you can use a 5mm wetsuit even in the coldest months throughout the UK.

We have created a guide which goes into more depth about choosing the best thickness for you so if you've got any doubts take a look at the msw wetsuit thickness guide

Choosing the right size for you

Getting the right size wetsuit is critical, the wrong size will not keep you warm and could end up putting more stress on the seams, different brands use slightly different size charts so you may not be the same size across different makes of wetsuit, we suggest looking at the size chart page to judge which size will be the best fit for you.

If you have any questions about the differences between wetsuits, the fit or the thickness that would be best for you give us a call on 01548 854660 or an e-mail on store@magicseaweed.com where we're happy to help.

Thick and spongy, you can feel it when you bend your knees while jumping up. But very stretchy, couldn't tell the difference in shoulders from my 3ml. Love it.

I love all these Infiniti suits. This new 2012 5mm Infiniti is performing well with hardly any flushing and will keep me warm for 2-3 hours. Well worth the money and the extra time getting it off!
